In Early September many eBay Sellers woke up to a devasting fact that hundereds, some even thousands of dollars had been removed from their paypal accounts.

Have you ever been robbed? These ladies have! A buyer to these sellers had been purchasing over a several month period and had built up a repour with most all the sellers on ebay that she was a good buyer.
She bought all types of products made by these sellers that they worked so hard to make. Received her purchased products, even left raving feedback at how much she loved the items.
Only for these sellers to wake up to the worst nightmare that any ebay seller could ever have.
An empty PayPal account and some with major negative balances in their paypal accounts.
Papers were filed with paypal only to find that many will not receive their money back for various reasons. Some cases are still pending and can take up to 75 days to get a decision.
The sellers that are in the red on paypal have only a limited time to bring their accounts back to the black or risk losing their paypal accounts and possibly being removed from ebay.

YOU TOO CAN HELP OUT BY PURCHASING A $5 BANNER FROM BEV AT IN MY CEDAR CHEST!

Meet Cathy of Avalon Rose Design

Avalon Rose Design is a graphics and website design studio that has become well know for vintage-inspired, altered art, and specialty designs. By combining and layering vintage images, Avalon Rose Design has created many truly unique and one-of-a-kind designs for many different types of businesses. Vintage buttons, textiles, papers, and photographs are used extensively in our designs while an "outside-the-box" viewpoint lends to richly detailed, unique designs that are sincerely original and not found elsewhere.

A little bit about me personally, my name is Cathy, and I work out of my home office. I have two children, Isabel (5) and Luke (4) who keep me on my toes! My working hours are very odd, because I need to schedule everything around my children. Early morning (I mean very early!), and naptime is when I get most things done.

I've always been artistic whether it was drawing, painting, sewing, or creating collages. My website design is just another extension of that. I don't follow any traditional art/color rules when designing. I feel that the end result should be an expression of the designer, and shouldn't have to conform to anyone else's standards of art. Every design I put out is a little piece of me.

I have an enormous collection of just about anything vintage that I use in many of my designs. Papers, photos, postcards, buttons, keys, jewelry, books, you name it. I am very careful about copyright infringement, however, and don't use any vintage image unless it has transferred into the public domain. I also use my own photographs, and I do create many of my graphics completely digitally with Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. (I use both programs.)

There are so many things that inspire my work....the quilt on my daughter's bed, the art of Alphonse Mucha, a sunset, the color combination on one of my funky pairs of socks, old photos of Paris and London, the list goes on.... Inspiration can be found around any corner....you just have to remember to look for it!

Coffee Filter Roses

Believe it or not I made this rose from Coffee Filter Papers. I discovered the idea on Romantic Homes blog, thanks Cindy. I love to paint roses, it is so difficult getting fresh roses in winter, I plan to make quite a few of these coffee filter roses in different shapes and colours, you mould the shape yourself which will allow me to make some of my favourite roses, well I hope so anyway, they were great fun although a bit time consuming. Thanks for taking the time to read about my new creation, Gail.

Meet *shabbyrose*

Hello, my name is Kathy. I am 56 and have had a wonderfully interesting life..I have lived in England at 3 different times in my life and got to travel throughout Erope and of course go to the various large flea markets including the big flea market in Paris and London and bought back all sorts of treasures...The when I moved back to the States I continued to travel to Asia and experienced many different cultures and met many, many wonderful people there.

I only moved back to my home town when my father became ill about 12 years ago. I spent part of each day with him over the years which has left me with not only many, many wonderful memories but made me relize how important family is and staying connected with family so now traveling has not been number 1 on my list or priorities.

I met my lovely Jerry about 4 years ago and we have have built a beautiful life together. We see to enjoy many of the same interests and we love to go antique shopping as well as the big flea markets when we can. We bought a large 1920's home when my Mother had her second stroke as we wanted her to live with usinstead of going to a nursing home so now all 3 of us live together and it has been such a blessing for all of us. We learn from each other, share with each other and there is never a dull moment at our home. Jerry is a big, big part of making it possible for me to be on eBay as he has become quite the home maker. He helps to cook, clean, run errands plus boxes all my eBay things and ships them. he is an extraordinary man and without his never ending help and patience I would not be on eBay. He designed and helped build a gorgeous sunroom for me so that I would have a special place to do my eBay treats and treasures. It is the only room in the house with good light which makes a world of difference in how my pictures turn out, lol.

eBay has given me a wonderful opportunity to meet the nicest people and be productive while I am at home. I have made so many wonderful friends around the world that would not have ever happened had I not started on eBay. I am amazed every day at how God's plan for my life has unfolded and I now know that I am doing exactly what God had intended for me to do. WOW, I am so blessed...wonderful family, the best friends and I am doing exactlywhat I enjoy doing. Life is good! :)

*shabbyrose is is the place to be for all your rosey treasures, vintage finds and only the finest linens available by so many famous designers. If you love roses you have come to the right place. *shabbyorse*is located in the U.S.A. and happily ship world wide. We gift wrap each an every purchase as each customer is very special to us so stop by often as we offer new treats and treasures every week. Kathy xo

Meet Alicia from Time Worn Style

Hello and so nice to meet you! My name is Alicia and I am the lady behind Time Worn Style. I am a Mum, Artist and Antiques Dealer.

Its been so exciting meeting wonderful people through my website http://www.timewornstyle.com/ and via my ebay auctions So I thought it was time to introduce myself to everyone else! After selling my items on ebay for over four years, I now have a special website of my own too.

For as long as I can remember I have always loved to paint and create, starting with little drawings at home to spending many years of study at University in Painting, Sculpture, Drawing and Printmaking (not to mention another year of teacher training!). To me starting up my website has been a natural progression of this that has allowed me to do what I love alongside spending time with the people I love.

I work from home sharing an early 1900's house with my husband and three girls on our property on Mt Dandenong, Australia. My husband is my greatest support and inspiration, I really feel blessed to have found him!

We live in a beautiful part of Victoria high on a mountain. Each year we look forward to the brilliant colours of Autumn, a blanket of snow in Winter, fields of flowering bulbs in spring, and hot summer days.
My husband is an officer in our local Country Fire Authority (CFA) so we are always mindful of the potential bushfire dangers each summer. Wouldn't trade it all for quids though!

Lucky me, I now have a lovely studio up here to work in so I plan on filling my website up with lots of paintings and creations very soon! I do love to paint and mostly work in oils but have found many other mediums that I enjoy working in too such as French Chalk.
Most of my work is inspired by Antique and Vintage works of art, I collect old frames and use these to compliment my paintings. Currently I only sell original one off art works that wont be found anywhere else!

Sharing our home with us is quite a menagerie of animals. My little helper in the garden Genevieve, is great company. You may notice that most of us here do love dogs!!

So that's me!
Will leave you with a selection of some
of my own personal painting favourites, thanks for visiting!

About Vintage Mosaic Boutique

My name is Siobhan and I am the person behind VINTAGE MOSAIC BOUTIQUE I am a SAHM with a beautiful 6yo boy who keeps me very, very busy being a real typical boy! But I am not complaining, I would never change a single bit of him! My son, hubby and I live in Melbourne, Australia and just love it here. We are very lucky to be close to our family and friends and are very grateful for that. Below is a pic of me and my family out at dinner, starting from top left to right my hubby, father and mother in law, me, my sister in law, my mum, my son Jake and my brother.

This is my son Jake when he was out flying his kite at the park. He is a very lovable child but at the same time a real boy if you know what I mean! I love him so very much.

I have a huge passion for collecting lots of pretty china and would have to say at the moment my favourite would have to be the European Makers like T&V France and Vienna Austria, they are so very fine and delicate...just beautiful. My latest addiction is the Rhinestone Clocks...BOY...I need to stop soon before my hubby goes mad! lol. I also enjoy going to the early Sunday morning markets when I can drag myself out of bed that is! I love finding lots of vintage treasures for my home.

I just love creating china mosaics and consider myself very lucky to have something I enjoy so much. I am also very grateful for my family supporting me with this venture. My mosaics are inspired by yesteryears gone by and fit in lovely with the shabby and chic cottage home. I create a large range of items from birdbaths, tables, lazy susans, bird houses, photo frames, jewellery boxes, coat racks, Christmas decorations and the list goes on.

Thankyou so much for learning a little about me, please drop by MY WEBSITE soon...I would love to see you there.
Kindest Wishes,
Siobhan

The Person Behind Bumble Bee Designs

My name is Pietrina and I live in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales, Australia. It is a beautiful area to live with lots of friendly people, close to the Hunter wineries and the beach is only 1/2 hour away. Here is a photo of my family. It was my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. I'm in the back row 2nd from the left with the long blonde hair.

Let me tell you a bit about how BUMBLE BEE DESIGNS BOUTIQUE evolved. I started making baby booties for friends and family for baby shower gifts or baby presents and everyone loved them so much they encouraged me to start sharing them with others. Which is how BUMBLE BEE DESIGNS BOUTIQUE began!

I then started to make jacket's and hat's along with the booties. People have purchased my garments from all over the world and I have received wonderful feedback from them. I love what I do and I have enjoyed meeting so many people who have become good friends. Here are some photo's of my work.

I have been doing embroidery and cross stitch for year's and you will always find me with a needle and thread doing some form of craft work. I have worked for quite a few years doing cross stitch and embroidery for design companies and magazines here in Australia. I have to say I love what I do and I'm so enjoying the path my life has now taken.

I'm quite involved with selling on ebay as well and I'm part of a wonderful group called WISTERIA LANE. A group of very talented designers from clothing to accessories for children & adults. We do special themed auctions every month and I will be sharing some of my new designs with you on the blog.

Well that's all from me for now but I can't leave you without showing you my cute little toy poodle Teddy. He really is a delight & he has such a beautiful nature!

A Little About Gail and Tony McCormack

We are a husband and wife team creating original paintings and handmade furniture with a difference. Our specialty is finding interesting vintage frames and salvaged buildings products. Along the way we often find all sorts of treasures to give a revamp too.

We live in Mount Martha on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, just minutes from beautiful beaches, wineries, restaurants and boutique shopping centers, we live in an original old cottage which has lots of history and character and I might add lots of repairs to be done too! The photos "B, C & D" show our historic "Males Cottage" home.
Photo "A" is Tony's work in progress...hmmmm?? Tony in his former life was a bricklayer/stonemason as you can see by the beautiful limestone work on the bottom of the cubby. The building was originally going to be our daughter Ellie's cubby house, she is now 21 and ready to leave home! I'm trying to claim "Ellie's Cubby" as an art studio, don't you think it would be perfect!

Below are my companions Guss and Bella who never question what I'm doing or demand anything from me (0nly food and walks) they just give me their unconditional love and affection"

Tony and I have both worked fulltime building our new business and life style for approximately 10 years, we sell at Craft Markets, Retails Outlets, Tony's workshop and of course through the Internet. We are both self taught and are absouletly loving our new change of life style.
